Our product: plugin and Flutter apps
RestroPress turns a WordPress site into a complete online ordering system: menus, delivery and pickup, scheduling, payments and a back office built for kitchen staff, with Flutter apps for customers, kitchens and drivers. It is our own product, which makes it the most honest evidence we can offer. Client work can be described selectively. A public plugin cannot.
Every figure on this page can be checked on the plugin's WordPress.org page: the download count, the active installations, the rating from over 100 reviews, and a release history going back to 2018. We would rather you verified it than took our word for it.
Restaurant ordering is deceptively complex. A menu item has variations and add-on groups with their own pricing rules. An order has a type (delivery, pickup or dine-in), a requested time, a service area and a status that moves through a real-world workflow. Modelling that correctly at the start is the difference between a plugin that demos well and one that survives a Friday-night service.
The people using the order screen are not WordPress administrators. They are working through a rush. The back office makes the state of every order legible at a glance and makes the common action the fastest one.
RestroPress is a suite, not just a plugin. Flutter apps cover the customer, the kitchen display, the driver and a desktop order manager, all talking to WordPress through its API. When a client asks us for a companion app, this is why we can treat the app, the API and WordPress as one job.
Payment gateways, plus an extension architecture so the plugin can be built on without being forked. Anything a restaurant might reasonably need to change is reachable through hooks, not through edits the next update would overwrite.
WordPress ships major releases. PHP deprecates functions. Payment providers change their APIs. A plugin with a thousand live installations cannot break when any of that happens, so we have been doing compatibility work on RestroPress every year since 2018. We know what long-term maintenance costs because we pay it every month, on our own code.
Why it matters if you are hiring us: most agencies build a plugin, hand it over, and are gone when the update that breaks it arrives. We live with our architectural decisions for years, which is exactly why we make different ones on yours.
